Navy Sports Fields, Ngataringa Bay
We are indeed priveleged to be allowed to host Run Devonport at the Royal New Zealand Navy's fabulous sports complex at Ngataringa Bay, Devonport. The complex is tucked away in a quiet corner of Devonport and features a huge playing field which gives us one of the longest finishing straights we have ever produced on!
The extensive facility has a perimeter road and entrance which means almost 2km of the 5km course is within the controlled area of the sports complex. The remainder of the course is on local streets - closed to external traffic for our benefit - filled with beautiful heritage homes and on the excellent concrete and bush tracks of Ngataringa Park.
Important!
Google and other online mapping services are aware that the race venue is within a restricted area and they will not guide you directly to the venue. Use the parking map and details on our Traffic & Parking page to ensure you are not directed into Stanley Point, which means a short walk through Stanley Bay Park instead of our super-convenient on-site car parking at the venue.

There's space to burn at the stunning Navy Sports Complex and you'll find our finish line and setup near to the arresting triangular club building. The start line is just to the north of the building on the perimeter road. Note that the parking areas near to the building are not available on race day - check out our Traffic & Parking page for instructions on using the on site parking facility (weather permitting).
The huge playing fields allow us to construct one of the longest finishing chutes of the year ... so don't be deceived when you turn onto the fields and catch site of the finish line. You still have nearly 200 metres to go!
